3.0 out of 5 stars Not as impressed, November 11, 2011

As Essie colors appear lighter in the bottle than when they've dried on your nails, I wasn't sure if Cocktail Bling would be gray or purple. I purchased it, tried it, and was quite pleased at first, as it appeared light purple. But this is one of those *funny* colors that seems to change a lot depending on the lighting. Sometimes it looks light purple, sometimes it looks more blue, other times it seems to be an odd pale bluish gray. I really wanted to like this but I much rather a polish with a more reliable and discernable color.

Bobbing for Baubles, on the other hand, is a very nice shade of navy blue. I was worried that it would dry too dark, but am pleased to report it didn't. I really like it but think it looks better on shorter nails. Of the 2 colors I liked enough to buy from the winter 2011 collection this was the definite winner. Unlike Mezmerised [sic] which looks better on light skin tones, Bobbing for Baubles looks just as beautiful on darker shades of brown... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars great neutral, December 17, 2011
Brooch the Subject is a very nice neutral, that goes perfectly with my fair skin. I got many compliments at work on this color, and I think it will be a regular color for me. I also have Size Matters from this collection, and it's a really great red, but it seems to get darker the longer I wear it, like the brightness is fading. I've continued to wear it though, as it's a fun holiday color.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love Essie, Confused About the Color, November 12, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I bought this color because it looks gray in the bottle (and Essie even describes it as gray), but it changes from grayish blue to grayish purple to gray depending on the lighting. A little disappointing because I've been dying to find a great gray but I'll have to keep on looking.
